Philadelphia Zorg (NL) ondersteunt mensen met een beperking bij het leiden van hun leven. Philadelphia heeft Virtually Human gevraagd om een cartoonachtige Digital Human te ontwikkelen die wordt ingezet op hun platform “Mo Online” en fungeert als een “buddy” voor hun cliënten.

## Van visie naar praktijk

Philadelphia Zorg ondersteunt mensen met een beperking bij het vormgeven van hun leven. Hun online platform “Mo” dient als een digitale community waar cliënten informatie kunnen vinden, met elkaar kunnen communiceren en spelletjes kunnen spelen. Philadelphia heeft Virtually Human gevraagd om een Digital Human te ontwikkelen die optreedt als een “buddy” voor cliënten en die – in de toekomst – ondersteuning kan bieden in hun dagelijks leven.

Eigenaar van Virtually Human, Guido Jongen, schoof aan bij de [Ontbijt Talkshow (podcast)](https://www.youtube.com/live/lN8RKso6XRc?si=6OpaxWYm8II9gU13&t=298) samen met projectleiders en samenwerkingspartners van Philadelphia Zorg om de ontwikkeling en het onderzoek achter NOAH te bespreken. Tijdens deze talkshow kwamen onder andere de belangrijkste onderzoeksresultaten, de visie achter NOAH en praktijkervaringen uit het ontwikkelproces aan bod.

## Van ontwerp tot realisatie

Het uiterlijk van de Digital Human is ontworpen door studenten van de minor “Digital Humans – Real Fake, Real Impact” van de Hogeschool Rotterdam. Op basis van interviews met toekomstige gebruikers bleek er een sterke voorkeur voor een cartoonachtige Digital Human. Dit maakt duidelijk dat gebruikers niet met een echt persoon praten.

### Testfase en eerste resultaten

Een eerste versie van NOAH is in 2025 gelanceerd en getest onder 100 cliënten met een lichte verstandelijke beperking. Philadelphia heeft een document opgesteld met eerste inzichten. Deze inzichten zijn bedoeld om andere organisaties te helpen die onderzoeken hoe Digital Humans hun klanten en communities kunnen ondersteunen.
